Youth Grows Forever

Youth Grows Forever unfolds in a post-civilisational landscape—a new Dark Age built from the ruins of our own. Inspired in part by Russell Hoban’s 1980s science fiction novel Riddley Walker—a tale of a quasi-medieval world resurrected in the shadow of nuclear apocalypse—this music video for VISIO (Nicola Tirabasso) channels a similar atmosphere of linguistic and cultural reinvention. As in Hoban’s novel, the future here is marked by scavenged knowledge, spiritual confusion, and the creation of new myths from the debris and imagery of the old world. The past is misunderstood but revered, its symbols misread into sacred meaning.
Guided by the flicker of a fairy light, the viewer journeys through this dreamlike terrain: rusted tools, glowing screens, domestic fragments now treated as relics. Tarot-like symbols emerge—wax-dripped wheels, a hanged man blooming with flowers—signs of a new cosmology in the making. The video imagines a world where the act of forgetting has become divine (or an act of divination) and where collapse is a form of transformation.
